Today Monday ', 8 October 2007, the communities' PIME region of Hong Kong - China si e' riunita per l'elezione del nuovo superiore regionale e del suo consiglio. Abbiamo eletto alla prima votazione padre Franco Cumbo, classe 1946, siciliano nuovo superiore regionale per 4 anni. (Alla mia sinistra nella foto qua accanto!)
Succede a padre Dino Doimo, veneto, dopo 8 anni di servizio nella nostra comunita'. (Alle spalle di padre Cumbo nella foto qua accanto!)
Un immenso grazie a padre Dino per il suo "giusto" servizio nella nostra comunita'. Io ebbi la fortuna di averlo come rettore nel seminario del Pime a Monza (1993-1996). Sono immensamente contento per lui perche' potra' finalmente return to work fully in the midst of the Chinese. Father Dino was a Lump for the celebration of the institution acolytate signed in June 1994. I'll be back 'in 2002 when I visited the Archbishop Monsignor Francesco Cacucci and my family, together with the community' parish of Santa Maria Assunta and Monteverde.
Father Franco Cumbo met him already 'when in 1994 I went to do activity' of mission in the house of PIME Mascalucia, province of Catania. It was 'already' a few years. It 's a great expert in interpersonal relationships, really moved by his heart, both to our brothers and towards the people. E 'was for many years to live on boats to share the hard life of sailors and the poor in HK. It 's a medical living: If you happen under his hands crushed, because it' s an expert in reflexology on the hands and feet. Gives you a student or all possible pains. I thank the Lord for him 'cause he immediately agreed to serve as our superior, knowing that he must leave the service in the parish of St. Joseph, just started service last year.
Members of the Executive are to be a father Giorgio Pasini (Vice-regional, former vice director of the PIME seminary in Monza) and then as the council fathers Gianni Criveller, Raja Duggimpudi and Peter Galbraith. I commit them all to your prayers.
